Fact To File — A Star Born on County Clare Turf
Few horses reflect the quality and purpose of Point-to-Point racing like Fact To File. Bred in France and introduced to racing through the County Clare Hunt’s Point-to-Point circuit, this bay gelding has since captured attention on the National Hunt stage.
Foaled on 22nd March 2017, Fact To File is by the proven sire Poliglote (GB) out of Mitemps (FR), with Trempolino (USA) as the damsire—a pedigree built for stamina and jumping class.
Under the watchful eye of legendary trainer Willie Mullins and owned by the renowned John P. McManus, Fact To File made an early impression in the amateur ranks.
His first appearance in a Point-to-Point race—hosted by the County Clare Hunt—marked the beginning of what has become a high-potential National Hunt career.
Why It Matters
Fact To File is a proud example of the quality of horses that emerge from grassroots Irish racing, especially from dedicated local hunts like ours. His rise reinforces the vital role P2P racing plays in identifying and nurturing future stars.
